What type of insurance do you need?

The recent Equifax Data Breach may have affected up to 143 million people.  We want to help you make sure your family is protected.

The first step is to find out if you or someone in your family could be at risk.  Although you may not be a direct customer of Equifax, many other entities such as banks, credit card companies and mortgage lender use Equifax to check clients credit history.  Don't just check your social security number, make sure to check spouses and children social security numbers as well

Equifax has established this link for clients to use to verify if you are one of the affected persons,  https://www.equifaxsecurity2017.com/potential-impact/.  Once you open this link;

  • Click on "Check Potential Impact,"
  • Enter your last name
  • Enter the last 6 digits of your Social Security number and click Continue

The next screen that pops up will tell you if you are affected or not.  If you are potentially affected, the site will recommend that you sign up for a free credit monitoring service and to regularly check you bank records and credit card statements.

It appears that these kinds of breaches are occurring more often. We recommend that you research services like Lifelock to see if theirs service can help you and your family protect your personal information.
